Congratulations, you found the real me!
Not everything you have read so far is made up. I was indeed born & raised in Southwestern Germany, which is where I still live. Ever since losing my father at a rather young age — which I substantially contribute to him neglecting his own health for the sake of the company he worked for — I have gradually lost interest in the cycle of life that is perpetuated by many societies and which I would, admittedly quite ignorantly, summarize as ”play, study (if you’re lucky), work too much and get shat on, die”.
Although this surely is not be the reality of every single person out there, it is for many.
I have since taken to a stance of not taking myself too seriously, listening closely to my conversation partners joys & worries and respecting other people’s life choices for what they are.
Convinced that I would enjoy practicing it will always be interesting to me, I went on to study Japanese studies and have since visited, studied and worked in Japan many times, always trying to further increase my understanding of society & language.
— You wouldn’t believe how much ignorant and false information about Japan and its people is still out there even today —
I have so far worked many different jobs, some quite odd, some rather boring, and met a plethora of different people, ranging from narrow-minded to me yelling “whoa, don’t touch me there!”. I can surely say that I have, by far, not yet done & met enough.
I am strictly convinced that life can end any given day and for the most stupid of reasons.
So if we’re lucky and long-living enough, I’m sure we’ll run into each other one day.
See you there!
